According to the Edelman Trust Barometer, most people don’t immediately trust businesses or CEOs. There’s plenty of ways to show your customers that they can place their faith in you, and they aren’t hard to implement.
For some businesses, it’s as simple as being genuine. “Don’t overpromise or tell your clients what you think they want to hear,” says Pat Sullivan, CBSE and President of Mahler Clean. “Acknowledge when mistakes are made and provide timely and tangible solutions to prevent reoccurrence.”
If you want to start building more trust with your clients—or find new ways to gain respect among an existing clientele—it starts with being honest, open and present.
