2024 Committees

Awards & Recognition Committee

The Awards & Recognition Committee is responsible for reviewing award submissions and making recommendations to the BSCAI Board of Directors for award winners. This committee is also tasked with improving the award application process. The committee will meet by conference call three times as scheduled by the committee chair. *Committee open to Professional Members, Allied Members, or Contract Security Members. Members of the Awards and Recognition Committee are not eligible to apply for or win awards while serving on this committee.

Certification Committee

The Certification Committee is responsible for overseeing the BSCAI certification programs for CBSE, RBSM, and RBSP designations. The committee will meet by conference call as scheduled by the committee chair. Members of this committee must maintain a current CBSE designation. *Committee open to Professional Members, Allied Members, or Contract Security Members.

Member Engagement Committee

The Member Engagement Committee is responsible for increasing the engagement and participation of new members and existing members by bringing increased awareness of organization benefits. This committee requires personal outreach via phone, email, and social networks, as well as active participation in monthly conference calls, as scheduled by the committee chair.

Government Affairs Committee

The Government Affairs Committee is responsible for improving the relationship between contractors and government agencies, Congressmen, Senators, coalitions, and others, and to monitor, report to members, and effect pro-actively federal government legislation and regulations of importance. Members of this committee must be contributors to the Government Affairs Fund. *Committee open to Professional Members, Allied Members, or Contract Security Members.

Marketing & Editorial Committee

The Marketing Committee is responsible for providing input and recommendations for new/existing content, assisting staff in developing membership promotional materials and providing input on external communication vehicles (as appropriate) to ensure we are consistently incorporating our brand messages and member value proposition. The committee will meet by conference call as scheduled by the committee chair.

Professional Education Committee

The Professional Education Committee is responsible for providing input and recommendations for new/existing content within BSCAI’s Knowledge Center and Marketplace. The committee will review current BSCAI publications, replays and online learning modules, books, publications, webinar content, new course offerings, and research and make any necessary updates. The committee will meet by conference call as scheduled by the committee chair. *Committee open to Professional Members, Allied Members, or Contract Security Members.
